Choco and M and M Icecream

This week for reading our group (Kaitlin, Nevaeh and Zara) read a story about Joy Cowley who lives in an isolated area Seventy kilometres away from ice cream. Ice cream is one of her favourite treats so she has to make her own. We followed her recipe but chose to change the kiwi fruit for Chocolate and banana M and M's. Next time we will not add as many chips and M and M's and we'll make a triple batch so the whole class can have a taste.

  1. Hi girls namely Zara, I have been really impressed by the way you completed the reading response and then used your initiative to make some ice cream. You all worked so well cooperatively together and I am sure you were pleased with your delicious ice cream. It has motivated me to make some ice cream like I did years ago when I used to get the cream from our jersey cows an d eggs from the chooks. I remember when my Mum and Dad got their first freezer and we could have ice cream at home. Have you thought about what flavour you will make next. I still really like vanilla.

  2. Dear the beautiful and the most wonderful Zara,
What book did you use for your ice cream? It looks splendid! My favourite thing about ice cream is how it looks and tastes! What I want to know is how come I didn't get any and why did you decide to make ice cream?
