In Te Ngahere a lady named Tracy came in and told our class about swim safety. While she was here I learnt that flares get really hot and they are not waterproof that is because when they get hot you can put them in the water to cool them down. She also shared a story with us about two people on a boat that capsized. I also learnt the number on a radio for the coast guard which is 16. I will definitely use these 5 rules the next time I go on a boat. Do you know the 5 rules?
Hi Zara, my name is Samantha I am a Year Five. I like the way you explained the five rules for this subject. I also like the way you remembered all of the words that Tracy said to us. Tracy is really special to us because of what she teaches us and so next time someone goes to the beach they know what they should do if there is a rip.
