Cross Country

At Paihia School we had our school cross country. At cross country we had to run around a huge course. We had the race at Bledisloe. We waited on a tarpaulin on the side of the field next to a deck, the PTA was selling juices, sausage sizzle, nachos and baking. We were learning to pace ourselves and try our best. We waited until one of the teachers called ‘10 year old girls’ all the 10 year old girls gathered around the teacher and waited. Then we headed over to the start line and lined up facing forward then a teacher said on your marks get set go. We ran across the field, over a fence, up a hill and back down. I was really proud of myself after the race.
