Math Problem Solving

Everyday this week we have been doing a math problem about Matariki we are doing them because we need to use different types of equations. Math problem solving is when we get a problem and we have to solve it using our math skills. We have been learning to collaborate to solve mathematical problems, learnt to measure height, wingspan and more. For math problem solving we have groups of three to four people in it. I think my group works alright.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds

At Paihia School we have been going on trips to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to participate in some Matariki activities. We played a bunch of games and we planted some Ferns. Two of the classes went at the same time and played these awesome games.

He Tino Reka/Kawa

In Te Maunga we have been doing a slide presentation with all the things we have been learning about for Kai/food we have tasted some food and the teacher would say “titiro ki te ____ nei” which means look at the ____. We would try the food and reply back “ he tino reka/kawa”.
